Hot-keys

stPro offers a number of Hot-keys to help speed up the operation of common actions.

 

Note:  Where Hot-keys exist for menu options they will be displayed to the right of the option in the associated drop down list control.

Tip:  The Hot-keys associated with individual toolbar icons can be discovered by placing the mouse on the required icon and viewing the tool-tip.

 

Zooming, Panning and Scaling

 

Function:

Description:

Zoom In

Ctrl-I, Down Arrow or Keypad '+'

Half the time period of the active plot.

Zoom Out

Ctrl-U,  Up Arrow or Keypad '-'

Double the time period of the active plot.

Cursor Left

Left Arrow (Plot Cursor On)

Scroll the Plot Cursor to the left by a single increment of the SDR base frequency.

Cursor Right

Right Arrow (Plot Cursor On)

Scroll the Plot Cursor to the right by a single increment of the SDR base frequency.

Page Left

Left Arrow (Plot Cursor Off)

Move the currently displayed time period back by the width of the active plot.

Page Right

Right Arrow (Plot Cursor Off)

Move the currently displayed time forward by the width of the active plot.

Set Time Scale

Ctrl-T

Set the time period for the Active plot to the uses preferred time scale.

Fit to View

Ctrl-F

Recalculate the scales for all pens that are in Auto-Scaling mode based on the minimum and maximum values in the current time window.

Fit to View All

Ctrl-M

Apply the "Fit to View" algorithm to all Plots.

Backwards

Alt-left arrow (Alt-cursor left)

Move backwards through the Plot Browse History for the active plot.

Forwards

Alt-right arrow (Alt-cursor right)

Move forwards through the Plot Browse History for the active plot.

 

Note:  The Left and Right Arrow functions vary depending on whether the Plot Cursor has been enabled.

 

Plot Operations

New Plot

Ctrl-W

Create a new Plot Window.

Toggle Scan Status

Alt-S

Toggle the scan status of the active plot.

Synchronize Plots

Ctrl-Z

Set the time period of all the plots to be the same as the active plot.  

Synchronize Cursors

Alt-Z

Toggle Synchronized Cursor mode On/Off.  This mode allows the user to read data values across a number of plots by sweeping the cursor across the lead plot.

Reload Plot

Shift-R

Reload the current plot abandoning any changes that have been made.

Save Plot

Shift-S

Save the changes (if any) to the active plot.

Previous Plot

Ctrl-K

Cycle backwards through the list of open plots.

Next Plot

Ctrl-L

Cycle forwards through the list of open plots.

Print

Ctrl-P

Print the active Plot.

Set Plot Sequence

Ctrl-Q

Set the plot sequence.  This evaluates the order of the plots using a left to right, top to bottom sequence.  Once set, the Plot Sequence defines the order in which plots are traversed using the Previous Plot and Next Plot keys.

Select Plot

Ctrl-E

Make the current plot a Selected Plot.  Selected plots are displayed when the user toggle stPro into Selected mode.  This allows a subset of the active plots to be 'focused' upon for analysis purposes.

Show Selected

Ctrl-H

Tiles the Selected Plots for analysis purposes.  Toggling this key will return the display to Normal view (i.e. all plots displayed).

All Plot Controls On

Ctrl-A

Turn on all the Plot Controls for the active plot.

All Plot Controls Off

Ctrl-D

Turn off all the Plot Controls for the active plot.

Change Plot Style

Ctrl-Y

Cycle through the available Graph styles.

Change Compression Mode

Alt-Y

Cycle through the available Compression Modes.

 

Note:  Not all Modes are available for all Graph Styles, and Compression will only be in effect when there are more data points to display than there are pixels available.

Annotate Plot

Ctrl-G

Add an annotation to the active plot for the most recent scan time.

Annotation Browser

F7

Launch the Plot Annotation Browser for the active plot.

 

 

Session Operations:

New Session

Ctrl-N

Closes all the open plots to initiate a new Session.

Reload Session

Ctrl-R

Re-load the current session file (allowing temporary changes to be discarded).

Save Session

Ctrl-S

Save any changes to current session file.

Open Session

Ctrl-O

Open a new session by loading a Session file

 

 

Tabbed Operations:

Next Tab

Page Down or Ctrl-Tab

Sets the focus to the next available tab working from left to right.

Previous Tab

Page Up or Ctrl-Shift-Tab

Sets the focus on the previous tab working from right to left.

New Tab

Alt-T

Open a empty new Tab.

Open in a Tab

Alt-O

Load a Session file and open it into a new Tab (rather than the current Tab).

Loads Tabs

Alt-L

Load a new Tab file (closing any currently open Tabs).

Close Tab

Ctrl-F4

Close the current Tab.

 

 

Plot Properties Dialog

Previous Pen

Ctrl-K

Cycle backwards through the list of pens on the Pens tab.

Next Pen

Ctrl-L

Cycle forwards through the list of pens on the Pens tab..

Export

Ctrl-X

Launch the Export dialog using the active plot to seed the export definition.

 

Note:  This hot key can only be used with plots whose data source is a Sapphire Collector.

Quick Export

Alt-X

Launch the Quick Export "Save" dialog.

Data Viewer

F5

Launch the Data Viewer.

Edit Data Source

F6

Launch the Edit Data Source Dialog with the focus set to the Data Source used by the active plot window.

Plot Properties

F8

Launch the Plot Properties dialog.

User Preferences

F9

Launch the User Preferences dialog.

Information

F11

Launch the Information dialog which displays details of the current Sessions, Plots, Data Sources and User Preferences file.
